the Italian Institute of Quality Marks had a traditional telephone switchboard and the need to&#13;\n<\/p>&#13;\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n&#13;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Increase the number of extensions (the telephone switchboard was at capacity)<\/li>&#13;\n<li>Renovate some of its buildings and migrate users from one building to another without interrupting service<\/li>&#13;\n<li>Optimise Telephony Business Continuity using two servers<\/li>&#13;\n<li>Reduce costs associated with ISDN PRIs and increase available concurrent channels<\/li>&#13;\n<li>Communicate internally at no cost with small offices and consultants abroad (China, Spain &#8230;)<\/li>&#13;\n<li>Maintain all classic company telephony services for internal use (voice mailboxes, secretary-director function, &#8230;)<\/li>&#13;\n<\/ul><p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n&#13;\n<p>These were the early years when VoIP on SIP standard was first used professionally.<\/p>&#13;\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n&#13;\n<p>So IMQ took a big gamble, and installed MasterVoice.<\/p>&#13;\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n&#13;\n<p>Where Ethernet cabling allowed it, some users were migrated from analogue phones to IP phones; where this was not possible, older analogue phones were interfaced using SIP\/FXS gateways.&#13;\n<\/p>&#13;\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n&#13;\n<p>In parallel with the completion of the new network cabling, the FXS gateways were removed and replaced with IP phones.<\/p>&#13;\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n&#13;\n<p>Outside of Italy, simple IP telephones were supplied without the need to install special telephone exchanges.&#13;\n<\/p>&#13;\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n&#13;\n<p>A fibre-optic internet circuit was then added to achieve ISDN PRI number portability (this on two physical servers in the client&#8217;s home).&#13;\n<\/p>&#13;\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n&#13;\n<p>Finally, following the addition of two CSI locations to the IMQ group, the servers were migrated to the cloud, unifying all the group&#8217;s utilities in a single system.<\/p>&#13;\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]&nbsp;
